Where your gift goes

A gift made to a named fundraiser is applied to that fundraiser. A gift to the general fund carries daily operations — staff salaries, office rent, equipment, maintenance and utilities. Where a fundraiser is fully funded or closed, remaining gifts to it are applied to the nearest active work of the same kind, and we say so on the page.

Receipts

Every completed gift receives an emailed receipt carrying its reference. Gifts made in the United States are received by Meaningful Life USA, a 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit, and are tax-deductible to the extent the law allows. Gifts made in Ghana are received by Meaningful Life International, registered under code 3177.

The donor wall

Amounts given are shown publicly. Names are shown only if the giver chooses to show them — the giving form asks, and "Anonymous" is always available. We never publish an email address, a telephone number or an address.

Refunds

If a gift was made in error, write to us within thirty days and we will return it in full. Refunds are made to the original payment method.

What we do not do

We do not sell, rent or share donor details with anyone. We do not send post or email to people who have not asked for it.
